Diamond is getting Ready for New Comics!

This week Diamond Comic Distributors (the company that distributes most of the comics in the direct market) announced that they are working towards having new comic shipments starting up again
soon!
Diamond says, "While there are many steps and conversations that need to happen between today and resuming distribution of new weekly product, we are currently targeting mid- to late-May with the hope that, as an industry, we can all work toward that timeframe. Of course, as we have all seen, target dates sometimes need to be adjusted in this ever-changing new-normal. But we cannot wait for firm dates. We have started the planning process and are having these important conversations with publishers and retailers so that once we have more clarity, we are in a position to restart and scale operations over time."
Some good news and something to look forward to.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that we are safe to re-open by then!

MIDDLE GRADE
Spotlight of the WEEK
GUTS
GRAPHIX
(W/A/CA) Raina Telgemeier
A true story from Raina Telgemeier, the #1 New York Times-bestselling, multiple Eisner Award-winning author of Smile, Sisters, Drama, and Ghosts! Raina wakes up one night with a terrible upset stomach. Her mom has one, too, so it's probably just a bug.
Raina eventually returns to school, where she's dealing with the usual highs and lows: friends, not-friends, and classmates who think the school year is just one long gross-out session. It soon becomes clear that Raina's tummy trouble isn't going away... and it coincides with her worries about food, school, and changing friendships. What's going on?
Raina Telgemeier once again brings us a thoughtful, charming, and funny true story about growing up and gathering the courage to face and conquer her fears. Available in softcover and hardcover editons.

Spotlight of the WEEK
HARLEEN HC (MR)
DC COMICS
(W/A/CA) Stjepan Sejic
It's been months since Dr. Harleen Quinzel began interviewing criminals at Arkham Asylum, and she's having strange dreams about one of them in particular: The Joker. What starts off as nightmares will soon evolve into fantasies.
Despite warnings from the Dark Knight himself, she's utterly fascinated by this man who seems the perfect expression of her theory; who says all the things she needs to hear; who seems to know her better than she knows herself.
Harleen is a bold new reimagining of the origin of one of DC's most beloved characters, as envisioned by writer/artist Stjepan Sejic. Collects Harleen #1-3.
