What Do You Need to Get Started in Pokemon?

When getting started with any new hobby it can be a little daunting to figure out where to start! 


Starter Decks

Premade Starter Decks for Pokemon come in a few different formats but they are a great way to get started:
  • Battle Decks - $19.99 and they come with everything a single player needs to get started, as well as popular EX cards from previous sets
  • Battle Arena Decks - $30-40 and they come with two pre-built decks, usually based on a theme from a previous World Championship deck
 

Elite Trainer Boxes

After you get started, you should consider an Elite Trainer Box to round out your decks. They come with 8 packs from the current set of Pokemon. They also include dice, acrylic markers and a deck box to hold your cards. Elite Trainer Boxes are also popular with regular players and they typically get one when a new set releases.
