When Do New Comics Release?

Are you brand new to comics or just thinking of starting a subscription? If you do not have a pull box (which you should if you are a comic fan), then you need to knwo what days comics release so you can hussle down to your local store and grab them before they sell out!

So When Do New Comics Release?

New comics come out every week on Wednesday. Some stores, like Gryphon Games and Comics, receive the comics a day early in order to get them sorted and ready to sell. Wehn you come in on a Tuesday you may see us putting stacks of comics away in boxes behind the counter; these are comic pulls for subscritption customers. This way they are able to come in first thing on Wednesday morning and grab their comics without any fuss.

Our comics hit the wall first thing Wednesday morning. They are ready to sell when we open the doors at 11am. Sometimes bad weather or shipping problems will delay the comics, but that is rare. If it does happen, we announce it on social media as soon as we know. Keep tabs on Facebook and Twitter.
 

How Do I Learn About New Comics Being Released?

There are a variety of ways to learn about new comics coming out. You can check a variety of new sources, but I will tell you about how we you can stay in touch with us and find out about comics.
  1. Every Friday we send an email newsletter with the list of comics releasing the following week. If you want to subscribe, send us an email and we will get you added.
  2. In the Coming Soon area of our website you can see comics for the following week.
  3. You can look through the Previews catalogue. This lists comings releasing 1-2 months out. We also have some extra in the store if you want to look through one.
  4. Attend our Previews Party! Every month on the 2nd Wednesday, we host a gathering for comic fans to look through the Previews and talk about upcoming comics. There is food and a lot of fun!
  5. Look at your comic subscription account on ComicHub. New comics are listed as soon as they are announced in Previews.
  6. We email you! Whenever there is a new comic coming out that we think you will really want, we send you an email based on previous comics you have purchased. We only send these out to people that we think will really be interested in the title, to make sure we are not hounding you.
  7. Follow our social media! We talk regularly about upcoming comics as well as post pictures when comics arrive. We post images in Instagram Stories as we unbox comics. Wednesday we do a video showing our picks of the week. We post pictures on Snapchat (gryphongames), Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and sometimes videos on YouTube. Make sure you are set to receive notifications from us so we don't get lost in the fray!
 

What About Special Orders?

If you special ordred an item, we generally receive them on Friday. We will contact you as soon as it arrives so you know you can swing by. Sometimes we will order from a different company, which will take longer to arrive as we need to wait for a certain order size. If we do, we will tell you that when we order it and contact you as soon as it comes in!
